AP gets treated like the Pope, Colin "Pinocchio" Bolger and one more thing about the whip.

At this rate, if I can stay injury free and ban free, I'll be the only jockey riding next month. Yes the new whip rules have been in for just over a week and are clearly not working. There are...

The new whip rules from a jockey's perspective

Last week took a lot of will power as I had 9 pounds to lose to ride my old favourite Snake Charmer at Fontwell. It's not always worth it but it’s part of the job and this time it turned...

Well Sunday was my first day back racing since I had my Hernia operation. I had Peter Toole riding shotgun and it was a big day for him as it was his first days racing since he had a life...

About David

Hay, I'm David or Dave Crosse and I'm a professional Jumps jockey, sponsored by Mapstone Development Group, originally from near Cashel, Co Tipperary. I am now based and have been for the last 14 years in Lambourn in Berkshire - the home of Jumps racing.

Being a Jumps jockey is a dangerous game but to me its the best game in the world. I look forward to sharing the craic we have in the weighting room with the Lovetheraces and Attheraces readers. It a side of the sport that very few people see so its going to be pretty special.

So here we go...
