About Rosella Short
Hello everyone, my name's Rosella. I'm a 'Racing Expert' by profession, and I'm here to help you learn anything you need to know about racing.
Stay in touch with me for advice on how to understand racing and get involved with the sport, but most importantly I'm here to help so if ever you have anything to ask, get in touch and I'll help out!
A bit about Me - until a year ago, I was working in property. They called me the new Kirsty Allsopp!
However, by coincidence, I was racing one weekend when I was approached to become the face of Kempton Park TV and one of the anchor presenters for its show, which was set to be revamped and broadcast live throughout the year from every meeting.
Having been surrounded by the sport of racing since an early age when I was allowed aboard a racehorse at my father’s stud farm, I am known in industry circles and my passion and enthusiasm for horseracing has so far led a natural career path into the sport.
Since then, I have joined presenter Rupert Bell on Racing UK, hosting Ascot’s QEII Day and guest presented on Ascot TV, interviewing jockeys, trainers and celebrity guests during the live broadcast of the show, and lassoing visitors to chat about their weird and wonderful outfits on screen!
I’m delighted to be a Voice of the Races and involved with one of the most innovative ideas that Racing has seen to date. I’m looking forward to helping newcomers understand racing a little more, hopefully you'll all become as passionate about the sport as I am.
