About Hilary Pavitt
Hello! I'm Hilary, I'm 55 from Luce Bay on the South West coast of Scotland, and I'm going to be one of your 'Voices of the Races'.
At home I run a B&B with my husband Tim, who I've been married to for 30 years. However, we got the racing bug 15 years ago and travel all over Britain to pursue our passion for racing. We've even got involved in racehorse ownership!
The tingle of anticipation just before the first race, the hairs on the back of my neck rising as the tape flies up or the stalls ping open. The roar from the crowd...horses straining forwards, running their hearts out, the jockeys driving hard with heads down & bums up. The excitement of your horse first past the post, the disappointment if it's not, but there's always the next race...You just can't beat it!
I hope you enjoy hearing about our trips to the races, and hopefully learn loads about how to get involved and come racing yourself. It really is a great day out, as I'm sure my stories will prove!
