Enjoy the sunshine.

We have been enjoying a few brief glimpses of sunshine this week, in between the showers! We have got caught out riding out in t-shirts during the muggy weather when a sharp shower has suddenly drenched us with no warning. At least it keeps us cool!!

Tariq Too has been enjoying some down time in the paddock after his recent win and good run at Royal Ascot. We have no runners this week, so I have spent my time catching up on boring boring office work. It does need doing though and it is amazing how quickly it builds up.

It has not all been hard work this week though I have to confess, as I was lucky enough to get invited to Wimbledon by one of my very generous owners this week. (One of the real perks of the job!!) We had Centre court tickets and I was lucky enough to see Kvitova last's year's champion, the great Nadal and British Hope Andy Murray. All the favourites won, despite a couple of the underdogs making great starts. Highlight of the day for me was Nadal taking his shirt off at the end of the match!!

The quiet week has enabled me to get out on the gallops on foot with the camera and there are a few photos posted in an album below. I still haven't worked out how to label the photos, but the horses featured are Carinya, Big Red, Strawberry Duck, Seeking The Buck and an unnamed colt by Proud Citizen.

My name is Amy and I'm the trainer of a stable of 20-odd horses up in Newmarket, which is known as the "HQ" of flat racing.

After working alongside many great trainers I took the plunge in 2008, aged 26, to go it on my own, and it's been the most amazing experience so far.

It's so exciting to be able to share with you all the highs and lows of being a racehorse trainer. We have a great young team here, who you'll all get to meet, and we'll show you the life behind the scenes in a trainers yard, hopefully you'll keep in touch with us and how we get on!

We're a growing stable so it's an exciting period, we've got some good horses here who you can get to know, so there's some good times ahead.

It's not all horses though, we have a great laugh too. I'm also here to tell you more about racing so ask away if you have any questions, and enjoy our story!
