The Sales, The Stig, The Stalls and a Dilemma.

The last month has been a really busy time with the two year old breeze up sales kicking into top gear. For the first time this year I ventured to France to a fairly new breeze up sale held at...

The Grand National, no Tips and the story of an Unlikey Hero.

I've really enjoyed the build up to the Grand National this year. It is the world's greatest race and Channel 4 have done a marvelous job showcasing it. I watched the excellent documentary last night called 'How To Win The...

A Dead-Heat, Disqualification, Bingo & Snow.

Today should've heralded the start of the flat season for 2013, with the Lincoln at Doncaster due to be run, but unfortunately Winter has rather overstayed it's welcome and snow has put paid to turf racing, both flat and National...

Team Weaver takes on America and wins! - TWICE!!

Well, so much has happened since I last wrote... The trouble with being busy is, although it gives me plenty to write about, if often leaves me with no time to actually sit down and blog it. I'd still prefer that than...

From the frying pan to the freezer, via Iceland. Part 2.

Right, I am back at the computer, once again using the free internet in Panera Bread, an American bakery/coffee shop (thanks Panera!) and aiming to upload the photos a lot quicker than the last time. The store closes in two hours so...

Airmiles, winners, parties and parades. Part 1.

Welcome to 2013! I know that it is February already, but it has been a busy winter so far. I have been dividing my time between America and Newmarket and earning the airmiles like they are going out of fashion....

Sorry, boring video blog and the Christmas Party.

So I must start this blog with a big SORRY for forgetting to take the video camera with me to Florida. I tried to compensate by taking a video on my mobile phone, but alas my hands are too shaky...

Sun, fun and hopefully some runners...

Training horses is a pretty demanding task, keeping me busy 365 days a year. So in order to get a holiday, I have had to bring the horses with me. This year has brought us to Florida, and what a...

About Amy Weaver

Hello everyone,

My name is Amy and I'm the trainer of a stable of 20-odd horses up in Newmarket, which is known as the "HQ" of flat racing.

After working alongside many great trainers I took the plunge in 2008, aged 26, to go it on my own, and it's been the most amazing experience so far.

It's so exciting to be able to share with you all the highs and lows of being a racehorse trainer. We have a great young team here, who you'll all get to meet, and we'll show you the life behind the scenes in a trainers yard, hopefully you'll keep in touch with us and how we get on!

We're a growing stable so it's an exciting period, we've got some good horses here who you can get to know, so there's some good times ahead.

It's not all horses though, we have a great laugh too. I'm also here to tell you more about racing so ask away if you have any questions, and enjoy our story!
