Big Buck's named Horse of the Year

Jump Racing 'Horse of the Year' Award

The invincible Big Buck’s was crowned 2010/11 Jump Racing Horse of the Year at the Jump Awards Presentation at Sandown Park Racecourse on Saturday 23 April.

This is the second consecutive year that the Paul Nicholls-trained Champion has been voted by the public as the deserving recipient of this prestigious award.

Undefeated in 12 successive races spanning two seasons, he made history this year by achieving a third consecutive win in the World Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. He has now won almost a staggering £1million in prize money for his owners, The Stewart Family.

AP McCoy crowned Champion again-

Once again we saw current BBC Sports Personality of the Year, AP McCoy, lift the Champion Jump Jockey trophy for the 16th consecutive year. The former Grand National winning jockey had another formidable season, ending on 218 wins – 67 ahead of his nearest rival Richard Johnson.

Paul Nicholls holds on to Champion Trainer title

Paul Nicholls just held on from Nicky Henderson to take the Champion Trainer’s trophy for the 5th time, while Grand National winning owner Trevor Hemmings was crowned Champion Owner for the first time in over 27 years of owning racehorses.
