Frankel Heads All-Star Cast for British Champions Day

Frankel, the best racehorse in the world, is set to top the billing when he makes what is likely to be his final ever appearance on the racetrack on QIPCO British Champions Day on Saturday 20th October.  Sir Henry Cecil’s superstar features amongst the recently published entries for two of the five championship races on Britain’s richest raceday.

Frankel’s connections have revealed that the colt is almost certain to make his last racecourse appearance in the QIPCO Champion Stakes, for which he heads 46 entries. Potential opposition to him landing a second success on British Champions Day in the £1.3 million mile and a quarter contest could include Eclipse winner Nathaniel, Epsom Derby hero Camelot, globe-trotting mare Snow Fairy and last year’s winner of the races Cirrus des Aigles.

Once again Frankel also features in the entries for the £1 million Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, sponsored by QIPCO, just in case connections decide to go back to a mile. Perennial runner-up to the world’s greatest racehorse, Excelebration could bid for his moment in the sun and to go one better than in this race twelve months previously against the likes of Royal Ascot winner Most Improved, John Gosden’s classy pair of fillies, Elusive Kate and Fallen For You and Sir Henry Cecil’s exciting recent addition to his yard, Beauty Parlour.

The other championship events on British Champions Series, the Sprint, Fillies & Mares Stakes and Long Distance Cup have also received a host of top-class entries.  Tickets for the season finale at Ascot are selling fast, so make sure that you don’t delay in booking tickets now by CLICKING HERE.
