Trainers' Open Days
Ever wondered what the life of a racehorse is really like? This summer some of Britain’s best racehorse trainers are opening their doors to allow the public to see what it takes to get a racehorse in prime condition for the races.
This is a unique opportunity to have a good snoop around some of the state of the art training establishments and learn all about how a racehorse lives - everything from a its special dietary requirements to its technically advanced bedding which it sleeps on!
You can also meet some of the incredibly hard working stable staff who take daily care of the horses and ask them any questions you like. In addition, some Open Days put on extra family entertainment, including fun fairs and refreshments.

Lidderdale Racing operates a very friendly yard at Eastbury Cottage Stables and the doors are rarely closed. See for yourself how our professional, ambitious, social and dedicated team operates – ensuring individual attention is not only tailored to our horses but their owners as well. 09.30am – meet for coffee
10.00am – to the gallops to see the horses at work 11.15am – return to Eastbury Cottage Stables for breakfast rolls and refreshments  |
